He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Julie Ely (Sherman); his parents, John O. Ely and LaVerne B. Ely; and his sister Anne Ely of Decatur, GA. He was also cherished by 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 4 grandnieces and 2 grand nephews.
