He is survived by: his daughter Bonnie Spellmeyer (Peter); his grandchildren, Christopher and Ashley of Leominster; his great grandchild Leslie; his close friend Nancy Rubano; his parents-in-law, Alexander and Elsie Buist; and also, Emma and Kathryn of Magnolia.

In lieu of flowers, any gesture that supports workers on the front line against this virus, especially at Beverly Hospital and Brightview, are highly appreciated by the family.

He was talented at determining if an applicant was passionate about the academy and a possible career in the army. I learned a lot from bob and am grateful.
