She was predeceased by: her spouse John J. Lamie, Sr.; her parents, Herbert Knowles and Mabel Knowles (Smith); and her siblings, James Knowles, Herbert Knowles Jr., Barbara Walcott, Mary Tatten and Emily Davis.
She is survived by: her children, John J. Lamie, Jr., Judith Ann Quirk and Janet Marie Lamie; her grandchildren, Starsha M. Tupper, Krystal Ann Tupper, Stormyapril Tupper, Mark T. Quirk and Damien Lamie; her sisters, Dorothy Fromm, Georgianna Carlyle and Joyce Ann Knowles; and her niece Dorothy E. Kalloch (Davis). She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, two step-grandsons, many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made in memory of Gertrude E. Lamie to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in support of the Cancer Outcomes Research Program and Early Detection.
