It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lacy Strohschein Doss (Zachary, Louisiana), born in Angie, Louisiana, who passed away on February 26, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alton Ball and Mildred Olga Brown Ball; her husbands, Paul Charles Strohschein and Kenneth Wade Doss; and her siblings, Nell Ezell, Donis Fornea, Doyle Ball, Lola Mae Ball, Basil Ball, Edith Rose Hutchinson and James P. Ball.
She is survived by: her children, Lacy Ball Strohschein Doss, Timothy Strohschein, Deborah S. Vetter (Robert), Stephen Strohschein (Martha) and Susan Strohschein; her grandchildren, Cullen Vetter (Courtney), Lacy S. McManus (Bryan), Meredith V. Alvarez (Larry) and Tanner Strohschein (Grace); and her siblings, Gilbert Ball (Peggy) and Trudy Williams. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their eternal gratitude to Susan for the wonderful care of their Mom during the many months of the pandemic and also heartfelt appreciation to Vanessa Riley, Ann McKlemurry, Linda Kelly and to the Hospice of Baton Rouge for the loving care of their mother in her final days.
