With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John T. Buxton of Zachary, Louisiana, born in Winnfield, Louisiana, who passed away on October 29, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Buxton and Georgia M. Buxton; and his siblings, Lonnie Buxton, A. V. Buxton, Theron Buxton and Maxine Kyle.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Nell Tolar Buxton; his children, Darlene Hendrickson (Randy) of Zachary, John Lynn Buxton (Toni) of Walker, Steven Lee Buxton (Lisa) of Central, Robert Dwayne Buxton (Gwen) of Zachary and Darran Randall Buxton (Tracy) of Greenwell Springs; and his grandchildren, Hunter Buxton, Ava Buxton, Lacy Gibbs, Chase Baker, Dallas Buxton, Kaylee Mondrick, Natalie Cowart, Dara Nolan, Ashley Jones, John L. Buxton II and Christa Hollowell. He is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
