She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Carter Sr. and Mamie Carter; her son Jimmy; her husband Harold L. Smith; and her siblings, Kenneth Carter, Richard Carter, Dale Carter, Colleen Toups and Brenda Burnside.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie, Donald Smith of Denham Springs, LA and Billy Smith (Diane) of New Iberia, LA; her siblings, Ira Carter Jr. (Annie) of Baton Rouge, LA and Judy Olivier of Denham Springs, LA; her grandchildren, Dusty Smith, Tabitha Miller and Sauvannah Smith; and her great grandchildren, Cole Miller, Kallie Miller and Lucian Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
