It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Estelle D. Smiley (Zachary, Louisiana), born in Pride, Louisiana, who passed away on July 6, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Dougherty and Ethel Mae Hubbs Dougherty; and her sisters, Ruby Pullam and Elizabeth Mary Dougherty. She is survived by: her husband Juste B. Smiley Jr.; her sons, Juste "Jimmie" Smiley, Dennis Smiley and Larry Smiley; her nieces, Annie Ruth LaFleur and Edith Mae McCoy; and her nephew Stanley Pullam. She is also survived by her parents and was an amazing loving mother to her boys.
