With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Walker Dayton Jr. (Zachary, Louisiana), who passed away on April 16, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Edward W. "Dub" Dayton, III; his parents, Edward Dayton and Octavia Dayton; and his brothers, Frank and Leon Dayton.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Anne Bennett Dayton; his children, Delynn Vines of West Monroe, Dianne Fletcher (Steve) of Zachary, Donna Zabel (Richard) and David Dayton (Tamara) of Zachary; and his grandsons, Randy Partin, Joshua Vines, Jonathan Fletcher, Caleb Vines, Alec Zabel, Randall Zabel and Carson Dayton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
