He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Curtis Shell and Jessie Mae Pankey Shell. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Traxler Shell; his children, James Michael Shell (Rhonda) and Sherry Lee Shell; his grandchildren, Matthew Shell (Cristina), Morgan Shell O'Rear (Jason), Macy Rutherford (Chris), Alec Michael Shell (Casey Sciascia), Hunter Cooper (Caitlyn), Zachary Cooper and Brandy Cooper; his great grandchildren, Gabe, Gunner McKenzie, Addison, Konner, Loxley, Cecilia O'Rear, James and Jackson Rutherford; and his sister Lillie Shell Bush.
The family request that any plan donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, Winnsboro or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
