He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Dowden and Willie Dowden; his brothers, Shelton Dowden, Bobby Dowden and Steve Dowden; and his nephews, Bobby Ray Dowden and Billy Joe Dowden.
He is survived by: his wife Eloise Vines Dowden of Winnfield; his children, Margaret Lesnik of Illinois, Ginger Kersey of Georgia, Loretta Green of Georgia, Christina Dowden of Converse, Roy Dowden of Livingston, Larry Dowden of Converse and Richard Dowden of Grand Prairie, Texas; and his sisters, Louisia Brantley and Lucille Bedgood. He is also survived by Great-Grandchildren, cousins and Friends.
