He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Eli Lutes, Sr. and Clara Sheets Lutes; and his siblings, Mary Louise Harlan and Billy Gene Lutes. He is survived by: his wife Joan Fogleman Lutes; his daughters, Janice Kelly (John) of Trussville, AL and Janine McMillan (Trey) of Benton, LA; his grandchildren, Kate McMillan, Hannah Kelly, Claire McMillan and Blake Kelly; and his brother Paul Eli Lutes, Jr..
