With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roosevelt Sterling Jr. of Westwego, Louisiana, who passed away on August 22, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Sterling Sr. and Rosie Sterling; his sister Geraldine Mackey; his grandson Terry Williams; and his brothers-in-law, Daryl and Jonas Willis.
He is survived by: his children, Myron, Ron, Randall, Norvell, Jeanine Sterling, Erica, Shelia and Crystal Willis; his godchild Terracia Ard; his siblings, Bessie Wells, Lois Roach, Willie Mae, Daisy, Debra Sterling, Hunter and Jimmie Sterling; and his siblings-in-law, Johnny (Tamyka), Barry (LaShonda), Glen (Angie), Emeline and Michelle Willis. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
Internment will be private. Due to COVID-19, everyone in attendance must wear a face mask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
