It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Marie Williams of Westwego, Louisiana, born in Schriever, Louisiana, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Payne, Sr. and Dorothy Mart Coleman; her stepmother Ellen Barrow Payne; and her siblings, Albert Payne, Jr. and Dorothy Lester Victor.

She is survived by: her husband James Williams; her daughters, Tonia A. Williams and Natalie R. Williams; her grandchildren, Darren James Gooden and Daija Renee Polk; her brother Nathaniel Coleman; and her sister-in-law Winifred Coleman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
