It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan G. Gray of Westwego, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on June 30, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her child Detrice Ann Hampton (Jack); and her parents, James Gillis and Lucy Gillis. She is survived by: her daughter Angela Gray; her grandchildren, Ernest Lee Gray II (Tomekia L. Bradley), Jorann Toney, Angelina Gray, Chris Gray and Christopher Gray; and her sisters, Dorothy Gillis, Mildred G. Perkins and Josephine G. Lucas. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED. IT IS MANDATORY EVERYONE ATTENDING WEAR A FACE MASK OR SOME TYPE OF FACE COVERING.
She retired from Charity Hospital after 30 years as an OB/GYN Nurse.
