It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Woods of Westwego, Louisiana, born in Haughton, Louisiana, who passed away on July 30, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Rose N. Woods; his grandson Joshua Woods; his parents, John King and Melia P. Strogen; his stepparents, William "Skeeter" Strogen, Sr. and Hussie King; his grandparents, Harry and Ola B. Dawson; and his siblings, Leamon Woods, Chester Strogen, Edward King and Patty Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Sherrill Woods and Brandon Woods; his grandchild Kameron Williams; and his siblings, William Jr., Larry, Stevenson, Bobby, Gene, Raymond, Jimmy, Charles, Artio, Teresa, Sandra, Wanda, Gwen and Jaquetta. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
