It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Vernon Lafleur of Ville Platte, Louisiana, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Lafleur and Lillie Soileau Lafleur. He is survived by: his wife Jenette Lafleur; his daughter Sue Lafleur (Leno Congtang); his sister Barbara Chapman (Lionel); his grandchildren, Dr. Kyle Newsom (Bethany), Keri Newsom and Isabella Congtang; and his great grandchildren, Adelyn, Kathryn, Caroline and Benjamin.
