He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Abbie McElwee and Tandy McElwee; his wife Ava; his sons, Scott McElwee (Conchita) of New Orleans and Weston McElwee of Shreveport; the mother of his children Mary Beth Tucker; his children, John Christopher McFerren (Lenore) of San Diego, CA and Michelle M. Brown of Bossier City; and his grandchildren, Avery, Brooks, Holden of Bossier City, Annalise and Mabel of San Diego.
