It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufus Dye of Shreveport, Louisiana, born in Chester, South Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert Dye and Memphis Dye; and his brother John Dye. He is survived by: his children, Margaret Jones of Bossier City and Sheldon Jones (Angela) of Ruston, Louisiana.; his wife Helen Dye; his grandchildren, Ken'Toniece Jones Price, Myonica Jones, Jo'Vodrick Carter, Zachary Jones, Gabriel Jones, Devin Jones and Tatiana Jones; and his siblings, Paul Dye of Chester, Leslie Dye of Charlotte and Terri Dye Massey (John) of Chester.
