He is survived by: his wife Mary Lois Thornton; his siblings, Samuel Thornton (Agnes) and Ophelia Thornton-Shreveport; his daughters, Madeline Landrum (Louis, Jr.), Marlene Tucker (Grafton, Sr.) and Shreveport; and his grandchildren, Kyloni Phillips and Monique Woods (Violeta).
