He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Sonnier Roy; his daughter Sandra F. Roy; his parents, Leo, Sr. and Lillian Breaux Roy; and his siblings, Joseph Roy, Walter Roy, Wilton Roy, Wilfred Roy, Wilbert Roy, Chester Roy, Ivy Roy, Amanda Cormier, Eva Gautreaux and Gladys Bellard.
He is survived by: his children, Cecilia R. Vincent, Christine R. Trahan (Ricky), Raymond Roy (Ann) and Blaine Roy (Dawn); and his siblings, Rose Venable and Nolton Roy. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
