He was predeceased by: his wife Louann Thibodeaux Joseph; his parents, Lockette Joseph, of Louisiana and Percy Joseph, Sr.; his son Gerald Joseph, Sr.; his grandson James Ray Francis; his siblings, John Joseph, Matthew Joseph, Howard Joseph, Elnora Johnlouis, Audrey Joseph, Leola Joseph, Virginia Alfred and Irene Rochon; and his sons-in-law, Cleveland Morris and Lloyd Fitzgerald James.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Westley of Jeanerette, LA, Linda Abraham (Lawrence) of Saint Martinville, LA, Melissa Morris of Saint Martinville, LA and Carolyn James of Saint Martinville, LA; his grandchildren, Latisha Joseph, Shelly Joseph, Gerald Joseph, Jr., Laquinta Morris, Nicole Moore, Lashonna Morris and Joseph Westley, Jr.; his siblings, Floyd Joseph (Vivian) of Lafayette, LA, Percy Joseph, Jr. (Joyce) of Lafayette, LA, Ella Hurd of Lafayette, LA and Eula Mae Robertson (Clarence) of Saint Martinville, LA; his daughter Yolanda Sonnier of Saint Martinville, LA; and his godchildren, Braylon Hurd and Oliver Joseph. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
