She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Joseph James, Sr.; her son Gregory James; her parents, Archibald "Biade" Ledet and Maggie Clement Ledet; her siblings, Wallace Ledet, Sr., Clifton Ledet, Milton Ledet, Dalton Ledet, Lillian Wiltz and Mary Margaret Ledet; and her grandson Bennie Marks.
She is survived by: her children, Henry James, Jr. (Gwendolyn) of Edgewood, MD, Carroll James, Sr. (Effie) of New Iberia, LA, Raymond James St (Norma) of Martinville, LA, Mary "Liz" Knatt (Avery) of Loreauville, LA and Ricka James of St. Martinville, LA; her siblings, Clarence Ledet (Shirley) of Lafayette, LA, Olivia Wiltz of Lafayette, LA and Helen Martin of St. Martinville, LA; and her siblings-in-law, Melton James, Sr. of Lafayette, LA, Lester James of St. Martinville, LA, Jeanette Ebow of Parks, LA, Stella Conner of New Iberia, LA, Terrie Francis of St. Martinville, LA and Carline Mitchell of St. Martinville, LA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
