He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Mason and Anna Laura Mason; his siblings, Henry Mason, Revis Mason (JJ) and MaryAnn M. Mitchell; and his sons, Hayman Mason, Jr., Pallbearers, Elijah Mason, Jessie Mason, Gabriel Narcisse, Lionel Mason and David Wayne Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Mason; his children, Janice M. Batiste (Mark), Karen Mason and Harvey Mason (Michelle) of St. Martinville; his grandchildren, Jonathan Mason, Marvis Mason, Tammy Mason, Dina Marshall, Elijah Mason and Gianna Mason; his sisters, Mazel Narcisse (Francis) of St. Martinville and Emily Charles (Victor) of Houston, Texas.; and also, Alvin Jones, Jasper Savoy and Daniel Louviere, Jr.. He is also survived by relatives, friends, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
