It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Williams Mallery of Saint Martinville, Louisiana, who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Williams, Sr. and Josephine Florentine; her sons, John Paul Mallery and Sherman Williams; and her siblings, Adolph Williams, Jr., Preston Williams, Sr., Russell Williams, Eddie Williams and Edna Williams.
She is survived by: her husband Morris Mallery, Sr. of Saint Martinville, LA; her children, Morris Mallery, Jr. of Saint Martinville, LA, Michael Mallery of Saint Martinville, LA, Katrina Mallery of Saint Martinville, LA and Sharman Mallery of Saint Martinville, LA; her grandchildren, Morris Batiste, Jr., Kerrie Mallery, Brittany Mallery August, Shaquille Goings, Damien Johnson, Audrey Johnson, Chartara Mallery, Alayjah Olivier and Michael Gilluam; her brother Roosevelt Voorhies (Hattie) of Saint Martinville, LA; and her goddaughters, Amanda Butler of New Iberia, LA and Charlene Williams of Saint Martinville, LA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
