She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Nelson and Lucille Stacker; and her brothers, Ray Cox and Jimmy Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Steven Bowen of Odessa, TX, Stacye (Dwayne Roussel) of Prairieville, LA and Bridgette Broussard of Prairieville, LA; her siblings, Shirley Martinez, Lona White and Gerald Cox; and her grandchildren, Davin, Kayla, Matthew, Nicole, Lacie and Stevie. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
