It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Anne Melancon (Saint Joseph, Louisiana), who passed away on June 15, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theobald Benoit Melancon, Sr. and Ida Marie Thibodeaux Melancon; her siblings, Mary Darnell, Rose Mary Abshire and T. B. Melancon; and her siblings-in-law, James Darnell, Donald Abshire and Mable Melancon.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mabel Kernan (Kurn) of Scottsdale, AZ, Paul Melancon of New Iberia, LA, Carroll Melancon (Rachel) of Lake Charles, LA and Harold P. Melancon (Gerri) of Sun City, AZ. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Irene's name to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1034 Bridge St., Parks, LA 70582 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
