He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Randel Means; his children, Laura Heinze (Aaron) of Pleasanton, TX, Jesse Means, III (Nicole) of St. Francisville and Christopher Means (Molly) of Baton Rouge; his brother William Means (Sheila) of Indian Trail, NC; and his grandchildren, Jesse Means, IV, Cecile Means and Alice Means.
