He was predeceased by: his mother Shari Cathey; his grandparents, George R., Dorothy H. Cathey, Daniel P. and Betty Smith; and his niece Gracie Ann Meredith.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Horricks Cathey; his daughter Maggie Cathey of Friendswood, TX; his father Ronald Cathey of St. Francisville; his siblings, Jenele Meredith (Will) of St. Francisville, Lanie Cathey of St. Francisville and Frankie Cathey (Jesse) of St. Francisville; and his granddaughter Maizy Mae Postel.
