He was predeceased by: his parents, Rowley L. Hymel and Mabel Brignac Hymel; and his siblings, Katherine "Teena" Hymel and Rowley L. "Sonny" Hymel, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Marie Etta Vicknair Hymel of LaPlace, LA; his children, Todd Hymel and Angela Andry (Jeff Andry); his grandchildren, Dustin Hymel, Jeremy Hymel, Blake Hymel, Christopher Andry and Nicole Andry; and his siblings, Jean Gendron and Jimmy Hymel.
He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Katherine "Teena" Hymel and brother Rowley L. "Sonny" Hymel, Jr. Due to Covid 19 pandemic restrictions the family held a small intimate service on December 7, 2020.
