He is survived by: his wife Ouida McCarty; his children, Anita Hunter (John) and Robert "Bobby" McCarty, Jr.; his brother James E. McCarty (Bonnie); and his aunt Minta Rigsby. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
