It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Bairnsfather of Rayville, Louisiana, who passed away on October 30, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Leon Jowers and Suevilla Etier Jowers. She is survived by: her children, Susan, Paul (Shawnda), Jon (David) and Lee (Debbie). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 3 step-great grandchildren.

Although she was proud of her musical proficiency and her contributions to musical education, few people knew how proud she was that she was also registered nurse, and through yearly continuing education, she kept an active Louisiana State Nursing license until she was almost 90.
