He is survived by: his wife Betty Gould Mitchell of Rayne; his children, Lisa Mitchell of Cypress, TX, Samantha Mellard of Sulphur and Michael Mitchell of Lake Charles; his siblings, Sherry Wilson of Savannah, GA and Roger Mitchell of Jackson, LA; and his stepdaughter Leslie Comeaux. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
