She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene "Gene" Cahanin; her parents, Lucien Hulin, Sr. and Eunice Vallot Hulin; and her siblings, Lucien Hulin, Jr., Raymond Hulin, Harry Lee Hulin and June Hulin Slaydon.

She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Paul Cahanin (Anne Cahanin), Keene Lukas Cahanin (Chasity Cahanin) and Kyle Micah Cahanin; her grandchildren, Nicholas Cahanin (Allison Cahanin), Philip Cahanin (Sarah Cahanin), Collin Cahanin (Nicole), Colleen Cahanin and Lukas Cahanin; her great grandchildren, Norah Kate Cahanin, Estelle Cahanin, Harrison Cahanin, Caroline Joan Cahanin, Evelyn Cahanin and Kora Cahanin; her sister Sherry Hulin Slaydon; her niece Renee Bourg Vannoy; her friends, Cindy Broussard and Cynthia Fontenot; her sister-in-law Zora Cahanin Boudreaux; and her caregivers, Judy and Leroy Semar.
