He was predeceased by: his wife JoAnn Richard; his daughter Belinda Richard Broussard; his son-in-law Gregory Louis Hebert; his parents, Lucien Richard and Alicia Leger Richard; and his siblings, Helen Richard Brown, Hazel Richard Patin, Theresa Richard Thibodeaux, Yvonne Richard Istre, Wilton Joseph Richard, Ed John Richard, Eldridge Paul Richard and Donald Louis Richard, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Shelia Richard Hebert and Larry Richard (Mary Richard); his brother Dudley John Richard (Mary Richard); and his grandchildren, Chad Matte, Curt Matte, Blake Richard, Lance Richard, Lindsey Hollier, Heidi Richard, Monica Broussard and Ashley Broussard. He is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.
