He was predeceased by: his parents, Pierre Hernandez and Amelia Broussard Hernandez; his daughter Rebecca Marie Hernandez; and his brother Étienne Hernandez. He is survived by: his wife Julia Arnould Hernandez; his children, Juanita Bienvenu (Luke) and Joseph Hernandez (Trisha); his grandchildren, Christopher, Michelle, Stephen, Andrew Bienvenu (Sadie), Bridget Hunter (Kendall) and Jayden Hernandez; and his sister-in-law Thelma Hernandez. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
