He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard August Habetz and Annie Gesina Cramer Habetz; his siblings, Robert Habetz, Rose Marie Habetz, Geraldine Trahan, Margaret Boullion and Louise Meche; and his siblings-in-law, Pattie Habetz, Joyce Rougeau, Johnny Meche, Sherman Trahan, Vurlin "Pete" Higginbotham, Freddie Higginbotham, Dorsey Thibodeaux and Wesley Boullion.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Higginbotham Habetz; his children, Angela Nash (Brad Nash) and Scotty Habetz (Crystal Habetz); his stepchildren, Becky Anderson, Donovan Brandon (Jennifer Brandon) and Jeff Fruge; his brothers, Edward Habetz (Marlene Habetz), Daniel Habetz (Judy Habetz) and Charles Habetz; and his sisters-in-law, Belva Morrison (Eddie Morrison), Bernadine Thibodeaux and Jean Higginbotham. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
