He was predeceased by: his mother Clara Jane Wheeler. He is survived by: his children, Treona Dugas of Rayne, Latoya Hamilton of Rayne, Dequincy Dugas, III of Rayne and Bryson Hamilton of Rayne; and his siblings, Shirley Andrew (Jerry Andrew) of Duson, Patricia Wheeler (Owen LeBlanc) of Lafayette, Paulette Wheeler of Rayne, Brenda Wheeler of Rayne, Kenneth Wheeler of Duson and Larry Wheeler of Rayne. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
