She was predeceased by: her husband George Cavat; her children, Joann Lee Walsh and John J. Walsh, III; her parents, Antonia W. Lascola and John F. Lascola; her sister Leatrice L. Casteglia; and her great grandchild Kail Joseph Verdon.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jay, Tina Walsh, Shannon and Kenny Verdon; her great grandchildren, Jessica "Jessie", Jade, Julia "JuJu", John "Buddy" and Kenneth Paul "Peanut"; her great great grandchildren, Liam Alexander and Callie Ann; and her daughters-in-law, Adeline Walsh and Darlene Atwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Shrine of St. Jude, c/o Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 411 N. Rampart St., New Orleans, LA 70112, in memory of Muriel L. Cavat.
