It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Alice Duplessis of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on December 4, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Duplessis and Alice Decoteau Duplessis; her sister Dorothy "Dot" Duplessis; and her brothers-in-law, Ernest, Ourso and Dillon Prine.
She is survived by: her sisters, Ruth D. Ourso, Ann D. Prine and Lois D.; her brother-in-law Willie Freeman; her brother Troy; and her sister-in-law Carol Duplessis Jr.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
