It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwen Chatelain of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in Metairie, Louisiana, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Roger Chatelain; and her brother Ralph Chatelain. She is survived by: her close friend Terry Tenhaaf; her children, Jason Ruiz (Lisa), Katie Oller (C. J.) and Bradley Ruiz; her mother Anna Mae LaBorde Chatelain; her grandchildren, Brennan, Baylee Ruiz, Trey, Audrey Oller, Mason, Landon and Leah Ruiz; and her sister Karen Cassou (Brian Adams). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
