It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecile Edna Duplessis Lea of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on November 20, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfaro Duplessis and Rita Duplessis. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Lea (Tracy), Robert Lea (Karen) and Peggy Hagan; her grandchildren, J. Lea (Nicole), Jessica Posey (Darrel), Heather Berthelot (James), Jeffrey Lea (Kristen), Lindsay Thompson, Beth O'Krepki (Gus) and Sophia Lea; her great grandchildren, Hunter, Kyle, Lane, Brynleigh, Gavin, Parker, Ava, Mollie, Sarah, Bruce, Hudson and Mattie; her siblings, Judy Monistere (Nat), Mary Wall (Glenn), Katherine Yuhasz (Joe), Norma Williams (Kenneth), Glenn "Tap" Duplessis, Dolores "DeeDee" Duplessis and Alfaro "Joe" Duplessis; and her son-in-law Wayne Hagan. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
