He is survived by: his children, Robert Collins, Chelsea Collins Broussard (Matthew), Theressa Howell, Lisa Collins, Carla Renee Collins and Joe Edwards Collins, Jr.; his siblings, Ethel Smith, Jimmy Collins (Carrie) and Betty Collins; his half-siblings, Cathy Collins and Danny Collins; and his daughter Jennifer Collins. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
