He was predeceased by: his wife Alfreda Elloie Collins; and his parents, Walter Collins and Rosie Gooden Collins. He is survived by: his daughters, Cassandra Russell (Aubrey) and Kathleen Bourgeois (Paul); his grandchildren, Alexis Russell-Gover (Christopher), Dylan Bourgeois and Katelyn Bourgeois; his goddaughter Marcia McWilliams (Hilda Green); and his siblings, Johnny Collins, Leroy Collins, Artis Collins, Gladys Landry, Beaulah Martin and Doris Paynes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home (2120 Jackson Ave, New Orleans, LA 70113). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
