He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bonds and Sadie Harvey Bonds; his sister Elsie LaCaze; his uncles, Rufus Harvey and John Harvey; his grandson Dustin Edwards; his daughter-in-law Christina Bonds; his nephew George LaCaze; his niece Sheila Bonds; and his siblings-in-law, Yvonne Bonds, Roy Bass, James Derbonne and Feliex LaCaze.
He is survived by: his children, J. D. Bonds (Stephanie), Stacy Bonds (Marksville), Crystal Bonds, Jamie Tennison of Wichita Falls, TX and Amanda Coutee (Ronald Coutee); his siblings, Howard Junior Bonds, Ashley Bonds (Bobby Bonds), Betty Bass and Ann Derbonne; his grandchildren, Marcus Collins, Timothy Collins, Tori Bonds, Bailey Roshto, Landon Bonds, Zachary Ingram, Christian Lawson, Delaney Creel, Deven Coutee and Chloe Coutee; and his pets, Gino and Albert. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with all extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home (848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (3815 LA-121, Boyce, LA 71409).
