He was predeceased by: his parents, David Amerson and Ida Amerson; his child Lynda Amerson; his brother Paul Amerson; and his nephew Frankie Amerson.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Amerson of Merryville, LA; his children, Scott Larence Amerson of Merryville, LA, Elizabeth Marie Amerson of Merryville, LA and Alma Estelle Woodard; his siblings, Phillip Douglas Amerson of Merryville, LA and Lydia Susan Gill; and his grandchildren, Frankie Miller, Lyndsay Amerson, Colt Woodard and Van Woodard.
