He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Eugene Sparks and Easie Marie Sparks; his grandsons, Joshua A. Mitchell and Nicholas K. Sparks; and his nephew Danny Sparks.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen Sparks of Many; his children, Pete Sparks (Peggy) of Many, Jerry Sparks (Donna) of Many, Stacy Sparks of Shreveport, Phillip Sparks (Kelly) of Colorado, Bubba Williams (Tish) of Keithville and Joni Waddle (Bobby) of Pleasant Hill; and his siblings, Raymond Sparks (Vivian) of Florien, Ottis Ray Sparks (Rose) of Negreet, Dennis Sparks (Ruth) of Florien and Mary Sparks Pearson (Gary) of Florien. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
