It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Edler Acosta of Laplace, Louisiana, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Louise Madere Edler and Clinton Edler; and her sibling Hardy Edler. She is survived by: her husband Donald "Duck"; her children, Donnie Acosta (Shelly), Kelly Acosta Oubre (Bryan) and Terry Acosta (Cheree); her grandchildren, Austyn Oubre, Preston Acosta, Luke Acosta, Jessica Acosta, Kaylee Oubre and Emily Acosta; and her siblings, Michael Edler, CJ Edler and Janice Edler McTopy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
