He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Guidry Murry and Fabien Murry, Jr.; and his sibling Fabien Murry III. He is survived by: his child Leigh Reed (Craig); his stepchildren, Michael Boisvert (Sarah) and Vanessa Boisvert; his grandchildren, Corey Reed (Mallory), Krista Malbrough (Chase), Fabien Boisvert, Felix Boisvert and Ezra Mohamed; his great grandchildren, Liam Malbrough, Briggs Malbrough and Cashton Reed; and his siblings, Brenda Caillouet (Warner), Rodney Murry, Ralph Murry (Sharon), Jean Williams (Wayne) and Cecelia Babin (Louis). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
