He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Harold Elliott and Elsie Matilda Fleet Elliott; and his siblings, Joseph "Joe" Elliott and Frances Mary Elliott. He is survived by: his wife Rhona Marie Elliott of Lake Providence, Louisiana; his daughter Darlene Harper; his son-in-law Jerry Harper Jr. of Lake Providence, Louisiana; his daughter Dianne Elliott-Marascalco; his son-in-law Dr. John Marascalco of Grenada, Mississippi; his children, Tammy Elliott of Atlanta, Georgia and John Elliott of Monroe, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Miranda Posey (Jeffrey) and Ginnie Helmer; and his great grandchildren, Kaleb Posey, Blake Posey, Triston Posey, Macey Posey, Adalynn Rawls, Rylan Duff and Kynlie Burch.
