He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Lee and Annie Lucille Woodard; and his siblings, Betty Jean Cook, Jimmy Woodard, Ernest Woodard, Huey Woodard, Herbert Woodard, Russel Woodard, Irwin Woodard and Clarence Woodard.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Garner Woodard; his sons, Harrison Woodard of Kentwood, LA and Charles Gordon (Allison) of Prairieville, LA; and his sister Dorothy Gross (Roger) of Clinton, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
